Mid-Prairie junior golf standout Noah Schlabaugh has turned in his scorecard after the first day of the class 2A state tournament at Marshalltown.

Schlabaugh shot a seven over par 76, putting him sixth place overall. His opening round included 11 pars. Due to weather, Friday’s action was cancelled and all of day one scores are final. Panorama’s Kolby Schackelford was crowned state champion shooting a 69.
