One man was injured after being thrown from a motorcycle on Memorial Day. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:43 p.m. Monday a motorcycle wrecked at Vine Avenue and 282nd Street near Crawfordsville. The driver of the 2007 Honda GL 1800 was James Frank Drayfahl of Ainsworth. He was the only person on the bike. He was traveling north on Vine Avenue and approaching 282nd Street when he failed to negotiate the turn at the T-intersection. The motorcycle left the road and rolled multiple times. Drayfahl was thrown from the motorcycle. Passing motorists saw the wreck, stopped, and aided Drayfahl. He was taken by Washington County Ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
