The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team is back on the diamond Thursday when they travel to Durant to take on the Wildcats. Mid-Prairie is 3-2 on the year after a win over Keokuk and a doubleheader split with West Liberty last week. On the season, the Golden Hawks are hitting .329 as a team, led by Brody Miller with his .571 average. Cale Robertson leads Mid-Prairie with four driven in. The Golden Hawks have a team ERA of 2.58, led by Brad Tornow who has yet to surrender a run in five innings of work while striking out 11 with a 1-0 record.
Durant enters play with an overall record of 0-2. They were swept by West Branch 4-3 and 9-2 last week. On the season the Wildcats are hitting .245, led by Ben Orr and Logan Callison both at .500. As a team Durant has a 6.63ERA led by Brendan Paper with a 1.40 ERA across five innings of work. These two teams met a season ago in a doubleheader with Mid-Prairie sweeping the Wildcats.
