A pavilion at WCDC was dedicated in memory of Dan Moeller Wednesday. The Washington Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting for the event with WCDC staff, clients, and Moeller’s family. The plaque on the pavilion in honor of his memory reads, “No strangers, only friends,” which is fitting according to WCDC Director Dave Hoffman, “Wherever he went, Dan brought friendship and happiness. If everyone lived their life as Dan did, this world would be a much better place. What more can you ask of a man? Thank you, Dan, for modeling a life to live by. We also want to thank the Dan Moeller family and the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for thinking of WCDC and all of its clients. Dan’s family and the Washington County Riverboat Foundation have both been more than generous to us many times over. Without your help, WCDC could not offer all of the opportunities and the quality of support for our clients that we so dearly love. Thank you more times than we can say.”

The pavilion is attached to the main entrance of WCDC and provides shade and shelter to those entering the building, as well as a gathering spot. The pavillion was paid for in part by a Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant of nearly $30,000.
