The 2019 girls golf season concluded this week with the state tournament.

The Washington girls golf team hit the greens in Ankeny for the final time of the year hunting for their fifth Class 3A state championship in six seasons. The Demons finished in 6th place with a final team score of 750. They were led by Kiki Guo who finished in 4th place. A pair of area schools were represented by individuals as well. In Marshalltown, Mid-Prairie’s Abbi Patterson finished her season with a 177 score to take 19th place in Class 1A. Columbus senior Aubrey Duncan, looking to build off of a first place finish in the regional tournament, finished in 21st place with a score of 185.
