Heavy rains fell across the KCII-listening area, with 1.75 inches in Washington Tuesday.According to the National Weather Service in Henry County, wind gusts reached 60 miles per hour, there was hail seven-tenths of an inch in diameter, and Mt. Pleasant received approximately three inches of rain and flash flooding. Columbus Junction had nearly two inches of rain and about three inches of rain was recorded near Kalona. Flood warnings are in effect in the area including the English River at Kalona until Saturday with major flooding; the Iowa River near Lone Tree until Sunday, at Columbus Junction until Sunday, at Wapello and Oakville with major flooding; the Cedar River near Conesville until further notice; and the North Skunk River near Sigourney until Sunday.
