Those who have had their employment affected by the recent flooding in Louisa County are eligible to apply for disaster unemployment assistance.
Earlier this month, Governor Kim Reynolds added Louisa County to the list of affected areas after the Presidential emergency declaration in March. To be eligible, one must have become unemployed or be unable to work due to injury or damage directly caused by the recent flooding. Disaster unemployment assistance can last for no longer than 27 weeks.
