Precipitation early in the week forced area rivers out of their banks and flood warnings to be issued by the National Weather Service. The flood warning for the North Skunk River near Sigourney continues through Sunday morning. Saturday morning river stage was 19 feet and falling, flood stage is 16 feet.A flood warning continues for the Iowa River at Lone Tree. Saturday morning river stage was 18 feet and dropping, flood stage is 16 feet.

A flood warning is in effect through Sunday  morning for the Iowa River at Columbus Junction. Saturday morning, river stage was 24.7 feet and falling with flood stage 23 feet.

A flood warning continues for the Iowa River at Wapello until further notice. Saturday the river was at 27 feet with flood stage 21 feet. A flood warning continues for the Iowa River at Oakville until further notice. Saturday morning water was at 17.5 feet, flood stage is 11 feet. The Cedar River at Conesville remains under a warning through Friday. Saturday morning water level was 15.2 feet and falling with flood stage at 13 feet.
