Increased rainfall over the last few weeks has slowed down maintenance on the Kewash Trail.

According to Washington County Conservation Board Director Zach Rozmus, the rainfall has required staff to put regular maintenance on hold for the non-paved portions of the trail. Rozmus says to keep those sections of the trail maintained, machinery is required, which can not be done with current conditions. When conditions become more favorable, Rozmus says they will address problem areas and continue with regular maintenance.
