The Washington softball team has flexed their muscles in weekend tournaments so far in 2019, sweeping an Iowa City tournament last week and winning three of four games at Creston on Friday and Saturday.
Washington opened the weekend losing to Burlington 6-3, but then rallied off three straight wins against Creston 11-2, Central Decatur 12-1, and Clarke 5-0. Cara Linnenkamp picked up two wins in the circle combining for 12 innings of work only giving up one earned run on the weekend. The sophomore also did some damage at the plate going 5-for-13 with a pair of RBI. Molly Sparks was 6-for-13 with four runs scored.
The Demons are now 11-7 and travel to Davis County tomorrow.
