One person is dead following a rollover car accident near Hedrick.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, just before 4 p.m. Sunday a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Susan Slaney of Hedrick was eastbound on 142nd Street approaching Competine Road. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times before it came to rest on its top in a ditch. Slaney did not survive. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, Hedrick Fire, and Ottumwa Ambulance.
