Late inning drama was plentiful for the Sigourney baseball team on Wednesday night, as they had a walk-off win to down South Iowa Cedar League foe North Mahaska 6-5.
Both teams traded runs for much of the game with the score tied 4-4 heading into the final inning. The Warhawks put the pressure on with a run in the top of the seventh but Sigourney had enough in the tank to scratch across two for the big win. The Savages had eight hits led by Mac Conrad going 2-for-3 with two RBI and he also picked up the win on the mound pitching the final frame giving up the one run on one hit. Josh Mohr started the game and went six innings of four-run ball and giving up eight hits.
Sigourney moves to 6-3 and they travel to Lynnville-Sully tonight.
