Three members of the Severe Weather Action Team took the airwaves Saturday evening as severe weather affected southeast Iowa.
Just before 6:45 p.m. The KCII Severe Weather Action Team reported a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for western Washington County. The warning was issued until 7:45 p.m. The warning was extended until 8 p.m. for all of Washington County as severe thunderstorms were reported near Lone Tree and Ainsworth just after 7:20 p.m. This warning was allowed to expire at 8 p.m. If the power went out, KCII would stay on air with our emergency backup generators. The one to count on for today’s up to the minute severe weather coverage is AM and FM KCII.
