The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball and softball teams are back on the road Monday when they travel to West Branch for a River Valley Conference doubleheader. The Golden Hawk baseball team comes into the game with an overall mark of 7-5 after splitting with class 4A Muscatine last time out. The Golden Hawks are hitting .255 as a team, led by Brad Tornow with a .452 average. Mid-Prairie has a 3.26 team ERA and Tornow also leads the Golden Hawks on the mound with 19 innings thrown, a 0.72 ERA and 2-0 overall record.

West Branch comes into the night with an overall record of 7-3. Last time out they pounded Anamosa 16-1. For the year the Bears are hitting .303 as a team, led by Trey Eagle and his .448 average. On the mound the Bears have a team ERA of 3.11 with Eagle at 2-0 on the year in 13 innings with a 2.69 ERA. These two teams split a doubleheader a season ago.

The Mid-Prairie softball team comes into the game with an overall record of 5-12, after a split with Fairfield on Wednesday. Mid-Prairie is hitting .224 as a team, led by Rylee Vercande and her .328 average. In the circle the Hawks have a team ERA of 4.62 led by Myah Lugar with a 2-2 record in 34 innings with a 2.65 ERA.

West Branch is 9-11 this year. The Bears have dropped three in a row including a 7-1 decision to Anamosa on Thursday. For the season, West Branch is hitting .290, led by Nicki Henson and her .507 average. In the circle the Bears have a 5.05 ERA with Kaiya Luneckas throwing 71 innings to a 5-7 record with a 4.32 ERA. These two teams met in a doubleheader last year with the teams splitting the two games.
