A truck and a mini-van collided head-on near Brighton on Father’s Day. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 11:23 a.m. the collision happened about one mile north of Brighton on Highway 1. The two drivers were Janice Miller of Brighton and Joel Tresslar of North Liberty. There was no medical transport. Miller was cited for driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway. There was over $1,500 in damages.
