New trash and recycling receptacles are being delivered in Washington. Johnson County Refuse will begin handling the city’s trash and recycling on July 1st. Each residence will have one container for garbage and one container for all recycling. Residents will no longer need to sort recyclable materials. If you have not received the new bins by June 27th, then call City Hall to get it corrected. Johnson County Refuse will be picking up people’s old garbage cans and recycling carts the week of July 8th on their regular garbage day.
