Changes are coming to the Washington Syngenta location as the workforce is downsized this summer. According to Paul Minehart Sygnenta Head of Corporate Communications in North America, “Syngenta is making strategic changes in our Seed Production and Supply function at several locations to bring teams together who are currently spread over multiple locations in the U.S., to improve performance, and enable better collaboration and more agile ways of working. These changes will be implemented over the coming months. Some activities that have been done at Washington, IA will relocate to other locations.”
He said that upgrades will be made at the Lone Tree facility to accommodate some of the changes and a few positions will move from Washington to Lone Tree. The Washington Syngenta facility will have some positions eliminated as it focuses on corn conditioning, treating, packaging, and distribution of seed. Employees have been informed of the changes and those who qualify will receive severance and job placement assistance.
