The Iowa Mennonite baseball team is back on the diamond Friday night in Kalona when they welcome New London. IMS is 9-6 on the year after a split with Pekin Thursday where they won a game 8-7 and lost another 11-1. On the season, IMS is hitting .291, led by Blake Bontrager and his .415 average. On the hill IMS has a team ERA of 4.17 led by Trevor Leyden and Eli Ours who are a combined 5-0 with an ERA of 1.25.
New London is 4-8 on the year. They beat Danville Monday by a 15-0 score. On the year the Tigers are hitting .318 as a team, led by Shae Summerfield with a .455 average. The Tigers have a team ERA of 6.76 led by Seth Bailey with a 3-0 record and 2.68ERA across 15 innings. These two teams met twice a season ago, splitting the two meetings.
