A culvert replacement project is set to shut down a Keokuk County highway next week.

Starting on Monday, Iowa 78 one mile west of the Pool Wildlife Area near Richland will be closed for construction. Pending any weather related issues, construction should be finished by the end of the day on Friday, June 28th. The Iowa DOT has set a detour that recommends using Iowa Highway 1, Jefferson County Road H-17, and Jefferson/Keokuk County Road V-63. Find a map of the detour with this story at KCIIRadio.com
