
The Mid-Prairie baseball team fell behind early but erased a deficit to score a River Valley Conference win over Anamosa Thursday in Wellman by a 6-3 score. The Blue Raiders got on the board first with a pair of runs in the first. The Golden Hawks broke through with a single run in the second when Ashton Bush drove in Keegan Gingerich to get within 2-1. Mid-Prairie took the lead with a three run third and would stretch the advantage to 5-2 with another tally in the fourth, and score an insurance run in the sixth. Kayden Reinier went the distance on the hill for Mid-Prairie, giving up five hits, three runs and striking out four in collecting his second win of the year. He also scored two runs. Ashton Bush drove in a pair. Mid-Prairie is now 9-7 on the year with the win.
