To celebrate 60 years of Halcyon House in Washington a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held this week. The festivities were held Wednesday afternoon with a formal presentation. The ribbon cutting was held by the Washington Chamber of Commerce Chamber Ambassadors. Susan Wellington with Halcyon House says there have been many updates over the last six decades, “We have went through a few changes. Our square footage has probably, well in the ’70s we added our three independent living buildings and then just in 2017 we moved into the new healthcare households out front. So yeah, lots to see, and if you haven’t been there for a while there’s been a lot of changes.” There was also live music by James Crossroads, a buffet, tours of the facility, and an antique car show.
