Sigorney will receive a share of $2.9 million for a water system improvement project.

Sigourney was awarded the maximum amount of $500,000 to improve the city’s water system. The Iowa Economic Development Authority announced the latest recipients of Community Development Block Grants. Sigoruney was one of seven communities to receive awards. CDBGs are designed to help support local water and sewer infrastructure projects across the Hawkeye State.
