The Iowa Mennonite School softball team hosted the 2019 IMS Classic Saturday in Kalona, falling in both games. IMS met Danville in round one, losing by a 19-2 score. The Bears jumped on top with three runs in the top of the first, only to see IMS answer with a pair in the bottom of the first on RBI from Mia Graber and Sarah Miller. From there, Danville scored 16 unanswered to take the win in four innings. IMS had four total hits in the loss with Leah Bontrager pitching three innings.

In game two it was Columbus that scored an 8-2 win over IMS. The Wildcats scored three times in the first inning, twice in the fourth, twice in the sixth and once in the seventh. IMS came away with single runs in the third and sixth inning. Rubye Ney and Mia Graber had RBI. With the losses, IMS is now 2-17 on the year.
