A contract for video surveillance and access control systems in the Washington County facilities will be considered at the next Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. Previous bids for the systems were $140,000 over the estimate, so the board changed the bid packages and resubmit them for contractors to consider. The goal was to have priority locations and then alternative options to keep the cost lower. The supervisors will also consider interfund operating transfers, departmental wage recommendations for employees, a longevity wage schedule, the appointment of Veterans Affairs Commissioners, and personnel change requests for public health, the recorder’s office, and county conservation. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse.
