The red-hot Sigourney baseball team stayed just that on Thursday night, as they blanked South Iowa Cedar League opponent English Valleys 9-0 on the road.

The Savages plated two runs in the first and added on in each of the last three innings to come away with the comfortable win. Brett Striegel had a two RBI knock to lead a five hit offense. Josh Mohr was dealing going the distance on the mound giving up just four hits and two walks.

Sigourney has now won five straight to improve to 12-5 and look to keep the good times rolling into tonight against New London.
