A car jumped the curb and hit a building in Wellman Thursday afternoon. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 1:29 p.m. the car wreck happened in the 300 block of 8th avenue. A Chevrolet Malibu hit the outside of the city’s municipal building. The driver was Martha Nye of Wellman. There was over $1,500 in damages. No injuries were reported. Nye was cited for failure to maintain control and send in for re-evaluation. The car was towed from the scene.
