A man was arrested in Kalona after threatening his ex-girlfriend. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 2:09 p.m. a woman was threatened while at work by her ex-boyfriend and he would not leave. The incident happened in the 100 block of West H Avenue. Both parties were wanted out of other counties. Authorities arrested 40-year-old Christopher Michael Ayers of Williamsburg. He had a warrant out of Iowa County for failure to appear for a contempt of court hearing on the original charge of assault. A Washington County Sheriff’s deputy transported him to the county line to meet with an Iowa County deputy. The name of the woman was not released.
