The Highland baseball team took a dip out of conference Friday night traveling to face the Bears of West Branch and came out on the short end of a 10-6 ballgame.
The Huskies drew first blood plating two in the second only to have the Bears score in the next three innings and add on late for the win. Highland had five hits led by Bill Laughlin going 2-for-2 with two RBI and two walks. Trey Lasek also knocked in a pair of runs. Brady Hahn started on the mound giving up three earned runs in three innings and Jacob Leonard took the loss going two innings giving up two earned tallies.
The Huskies drop to 10-8 and look to rebound tonight when they host Durant.
