The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team continued their latest run, winning their fourth game in a row, this time taking down class 3A Benton Friday in Wellman by an 8-4 score. The early part of the contest was back and forth with the Hawks jumping on top 1-0 with a run in the first. Benton put together a three run fourth to take their first and only lead of the night, from there Mid-Prairie scored once in the fourth, twice in the fifth and four times in the sixth with an Aidan Rath three run homer icing the contest. Rath led the way going three for three with those three RBI. Monte Slabaugh added two hits. Vinny Bowlin got the win in relief going two innings allowing one hit, one run and striking out two. The Golden Hawks are now 12-8 on the year.
