According to a recent enrollment study, the Mid-Prairie Community School District will see consistent growth over the next few years.
In December, Superintendent Mark Schneider hired RSP Associates to execute the study. Schneider says RSP did a similar study for the Clear Creek Amana School district and their findings were “spot on.” The results show steady growth for the district over the next five years.
Schneider says RSP looked at several factors during their study, “They looked at the number of child-bearing women in the district. They looked at the enrollment over the last five years. They looked at the number of houses that have been built within the district over the last five years. There were a number of areas of development they looked at.” The next step is for the district’s facilities committee to review the study and discuss ideas to bring to the school board regarding possible facility requests.
