Permit forms for special events and food trucks in the City of Washington are now available at City Hall. The Washington City Council approved the permit forms for both holding special events and for having a food truck operate on public property. City Administrator Brent Hinson said food trucks are exempted from the special permit if they are part of an event approved by the city council, “We have exempted them from having to do this if this is approved, if the food truck, like if it’s something for a Main Street event that they’re having or Chamber event they’re having a food truck, they just need to get that approval with that special permit application.” The vendor license fee is $10 per day for food trucks setting up on public property. Those who have an agreement to set up on private property and sell products need not apply.
