Mid-Prairie and Washington will renew their baseball rivalry tonight when the two teams meet up in Wellman for a single non-conference game.

Both squads are coming in with momentum, as the Demons outscored West Burlington 32-5 in a doubleheader on Tuesday and the Golden Hawks gave #1 Wilton their first conference loss that same day. Luke Turner has paced the Demon offense with a .470 batting average and 31 runs knocked in. Mid-Prairie’s Brad Tornow supports a .440 batting average and 1.04 ERA on the bump. Washington has won the rivalry game three years in a row.

Area bragging rights are on the line at 7 p.m. tonight in Wellman. Listen to the game on FM 106.1 KCII starting at 6:30 p.m. The softball contest between these two schools can be heard on AM 1380 and FM 102.5 at the same time.
