The Highway 22 improvement project in Riverside is not moving as quickly as city officials would like.

Mayor Allen Schnieder tells KCII News he hoped the seven-figure project would be completed by now. Schnieder says there are several factors that have caused delays, “To be brutally honest, it has not been progressing as planned. Some of that is due to the weather. Part of the scheduling, too, has been affected by how early we cut off construction last year.” The current anticipated completion date is July 22nd. Schnieder says he would be pleased if it’s done by the end of the month.
