A Washington man has been arrested for forgery. On July 1st, the bank called a customer regarding a check that Brandon James Ferdig was trying to cash. The customer stated she did not write out a check to him. Authorities charged 21-year-old Ferdig with forgery. On July 3rd, officers conducted a vehicle stop in Washington and arrested Ferdig. He also faces charged of driving under suspension. Henry County officials contacted Washington County on July 4th, as Ferdig had a warrant out of Henry County. That warrant was for probation violation on the original charge of theft in the third degree. Bond was set at $10,000 and extradition arrangements were made between the two counties.
