In a business like approach the Sigourney softball team did not waste anytime in their first round class 1A regional against Keota winning 12-0 in three innings.

The Savages tallied three runs in the first, five in the second, and four more in the third en route to the shortened game. Megan Stuhr, Madi Richard, and Madelynn Hornback each had a pair of hits and combined for seven runs scored. Jordan VanEe did not allow a hit in the three frames while walking one and striking out seven. Macie McDonald took the loss for the Eagles giving up 12 runs on 11 hits.

Sigourney improves to 17-13 and advance to the quarterfinal round tomorrow hosting Montezuma. Keota wraps up their season at 0-18 and they say goodbye to senior Jill Schulte.
