The vacated seat on the Mid-Prairie School Board has been filled.

During Monday’s meeting, the board appointed Mary Allred of Kalona to serve until the election in November. Allred expressed interest in serving the temporary role and was already planning on running in November. The position became available after Gerry Kahler announced he was moving to Grundy County in June. Kahler began serving on the board after the seat was vacated by Jim Hussey in September of 2018.
