The Mid-Prairie baseball team made back to back road trips to Lumber Kings Stadium in Clinton to meet a pair of north division River Valley Conference foes. The Golden Hawks loss came to the Camanche Indians in extra innings by a 4-3 score. Camanche pushed across a pair in the second to take an early 2-0 lead. Mid-Prairie answered with two of their own in the fourth and then got a single tally in the fifth to take a slim lead. The Hawks couldn’t hold on late with Camanche tying it on a single run in the seventh and then walking it off with one more in the eighth. Keegan Gingierch was two for three with an RBI at the plate, Vinny Bowlin drove in two. Brody Miller took the loss in relief working two and a third innings and walking two.

Mid-Prairie got revenge on their return trip, blanking Northeast Goose Lake 6-0. The Golden Hawks got a single run in the second, blew things open with a four run sixth and added an insurance run in the top of the seventh. Bowlin was three for four with two doubles and drove in three. Brad Tornow collected the win going three innings without allowing a base runner and striking out seven. With the split Mid-Prairie improved to 15-11 on the year.
