A vigil for children being detained in detention camps will be held tonight in Fairfield.

The event is one of nine protests being held throughout Iowa. The protests are designed to bring attention to the conditions of the camps where refugee children are being held at the U.S.-Mexico border. The event starts at 8 p.m. tonight at The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. At 9 p.m., participants will light candles for a silent vigil.
