Summer celebrations continue this week in the KCII-listening area and the KCII Big Red Radio will be taking part. Stops include the Louisa County Fair and RAGBRAI in Fairfield. KCII General Manager Joe Nichols says it’s fun to see the different festivities across the area during the KCII Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour, “I’ve enjoyed doing the Summer Town Tours because, although there’s a lot of similarities every town is unique in what they do. So there’s always good fun, and there’s parades, and things for the entire family to enjoy. From usually the start of the day, a lot of them start with runs in the morning and finish with music and entertainment in the evenings, and all day long just a bunch of entertainment. So every one of them is different, like I said a lot of similarities, but they’re all unique. And that’s what makes it so much fun and why we wanted to do the Summer Town Tour to begin with.”

This week is the Louisa County Fair in Columbus Junction and the KCII Big Red Radio will be there broadcasting live Wednesday and Thursday. Then as thousands of bicyclists enter Jefferson County Thursday the KCII Big Red Radio will be in Fairfield for RAGBRAI.
