Celebrate the arts while supporting Hospice of Washington County in Washington’s Central Park this Saturday. The fifth annual Totally Tubular Transformation Art Auction will begin at noon Saturday on the grandstand. Isabella Santoro with the LET’s Center for the Healing and Creative Arts says while this is the fifth year of the project the artists who create works aren’t always the same, “We have a handful of awesome people that do a tube every year, and some who have done them maybe two or three out of the five years. But every year we also see new faces, and that’s really fun, too.”

This year’s partner organization is Hospice of Washington County. Any funds raised during the auction will be split between LET’s and Hospice of Washington County. The old water softener containers that have become pieces of art are on display in downtown. They are part of the Gallery Art Walk which is in Washington the last two weeks of July each year. In addition to the tubes, local artists’ work is on display in storefronts.
