Nearly $100,000 was awarded by the Washington County Riverboat Foundation through their mini-grant program. In total 51 grants were awarded for $98,612. Grants included $2,000 to the Washington Area Youth Supporters for the Sweet Dreams Project, which helps get mattresses and beds for kids in the area who do not have them. The City of Wellman received $2,000 for picnic tables. A $2,000 grant was given to the Washington County Rescue Squad to help update water rescue equipment. And $2,000 was given to the Washington County Historical Society for restoration work at the Conger House.
