Another fine season for the Highland softball team meant another season full of Southeast Iowa Super Conference All Conference selections, as they led the league with 10 representatives.
Abbie Miller as an infielder, Aly Stokes as an infielder, Dani Laughlin as an outfielder, and Emily Yahnke in utility were all selected to the first team. Miller broke all kinds of records at Highland and led the conference in RBI this year with 47 while racking up a .444 batting average. Stokes showed a keen eye at the plate leading the team with 15 walks and was also successful on all 18 stolen base attempts. In just her eighth grade year Laughlin was fourth in the division with a .468 batting average and Yahnke had an impressive .519 on base percentage.
Second team honorees included Megan Hoenig, Mackenze Hora, Jenna Sands, and Sarah Schneider. Hoenig had a 1.87 ERA in the circle that was top five in the conference, Hora had 12 runs scored, Sands had 10 RBI, and Schneider racked up a .351 BA.
Ellie Anderson and Abbi Stransky received honorable mention. Anderson had the second most RBI for Highland with 15 and Stransky had a .333 BA.
The Huskies finished the year 17-9.
