Iowa Mennonite School will be revealing the school’s new brand at an open house tomorrow.

The IMS operating board and administration is hosting the event to give the public their first opportunity to check out the school’s new name, mascot, and logos. Since the school was founded in 1945, they have not had a mascot. IMS Advancement Director Jermey Ours says the change will help grow the school’s reach, “Iowa Mennonite School has an enormous opportunity to reach out to families who don’t attend Mennonite churches, but who are wanting their students to learn and participate in a safe, supportive, Christ-centered community.”

Last fall, IMS announced they were working with an enrollment catalyst to help create a plan to better market the school. In the announcement, the operating board emphasized that their core identity as an Anabaptist Mennonite school would stay the same. The open house will be tomorrow at Celebration Hall from 7-8 p.m.
