The Southeast Iowa Superconference announced their all-conference selections for the 2019 softball season and five Iowa Mennonite School players were recognized.
Senior Rubye Ney was a first team all-conference selection for outfield. Ney finished the year with a .344 average at the plate including 20 hits, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored.
Senior Suzanna Yoder was a first team all-conference selection on the infield. Yoder led the team with a .373 average with 22 hits, 22 runs scored and 11 RBI, all best for IMS.
Junior Mia Graber was a second team all-conference performer on the infield. Graber finished with a .271 batting average with 16 hits, 10 RBI and nine runs scored.
Freshman Leah Bontrager and sophomore Sarah Miller were both honorable mention selections. Bontrager threw 110 innings in the circle for IMS with a 3-19 overall record and 8.15 ERA, striking out 66. At the plate she had a .133 average with four runs scored and four RBI. Miller was .220 at the plate with 13 hits, four runs scored and seven RBI. IMS finished with a 3-20 overall record.
