Two people were arrested in Wapello after a search warrant led to the recovery of stolen property.

According to the Wapello Police Department, they, along with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant on a trailer home in Wapello on July 24th. The warrant resulted from multiple incidents of stolen property, including flowers, lawn ornaments, landscaping items, and more. Following the search, stolen property was recovered, along with methamphetamine and marijuana paraphernalia. Authorities arrested 27-year-old Dakota Boyce and 24-year-old Daniel Rice. Boyce was charged with four counts of child endangerment, six counts of theft/possession of stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Boyce is currently on probation and further charges are expected. Rice was charged with four counts of child endangerment, four counts of theft/possession of stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Boyce and Rice are being held at the Louisa County Jail on $8,000 and $8,300 bonds, respectively. During the search, law enforcement recovered more stolen property and encourages anybody who believes they are a victim of theft to contact the Wapello Police Department.
