A Wellman man was arrested for methamphetamine and weapons charges. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:14 a.m. Saturday, a Washington Police Officer was out with a subject wanted out of Johnson County. Authorities arrested 22-year-old Devin Michael Winters on an Iowa City Police Department warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a charge of possession of methamphetamine first offense. Bond was set at $2,000. There are also local charges for possession of a controlled substance and carrying a weapon. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
