The City of Washington’s website has been updated. The new online look was created by Running Robots. The website joins the city with the Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Washington, and Washington Economic Development Group for a unified look and layout. Chamber Director Michelle Redlinger explained how the upgrade was funded, “The merger of all of our websites was the first initiative from the Hotel/Motel Fund Administration Committee. And when we passed the Hotel/Motel Tax we decided the money that we collected from that was to be used for Washington as a whole. So we wanted to find a project that would benefit everyone, from citizens to businesses and the best way that we thought we could to that was to improve our image online and to really market Washington as a vibrant community with lots going on, lots of businesses.” The website features a streamlined layout with the tagline ‘Discover a Classic.’ It gives people one place to go online for information on things like water bills, job openings, and community programs.
