Our number three sports story for Iowa Mennonite School last school year brings us to the cross country course. IMS was led by a freshman, new to the scene Leah Bontrager. The IMS girls were sixth at the Superconference Championship meet, led by Bontrager with her 10th place finish to score all-conference honors. At the state qualifier, IMS kept their streak alive, sending a runner to the state meet in Fort Dodge for the third straight year with Bontrager qualified in 14th place as the IMS girls finished seventh overall in the team standings. At state, Bontrager was 72nd in class 1A with a time of 22:16. Tomorrow our number two sports story for IMS from the last school year takes us to the track.
