It was a big year on the field and in the classroom for Iowa Mennonite School. The state of Iowa has released their academic achievement awards for last school year. The Iowa Mennonite track and field team coached by Marty Gingerich received the distinguished award in academic achievement for their combined team 3.56 GPA. That’s the highest academic award given from the state. Teams receiving the excellence in academic achievement award included IMS baseball coached by Danny Hershberger, IMS basketball coached by Dwight Gingerich, IMS golf coached by Steve Nelson and IMS soccer coached by Marcus Miller.
