One person was injured in a wreck on Highway 218 near Ainsworth Thursday. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:43 a.m. one vehicle went into the ditch in the northbound lanes of Highway 218 near Old White Way. A Washington County Sheriff’s deputy arrived on the scene and requested an ambulance for the driver. Ainsworth QRS and Washington County Ambulance assisted at the scene. One person was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. The name of the driver was not released. There was over $1,500 in damages and the vehicle was towed from the ditch.
